HINT.Innovator Summit 2026: Lessons Learned from Real-World AI in Healthcare
On 27 November 2026, HINT.GENT will bring together healthcare professionals, academics, policymakers, industry partners and innovators for the HINT.Innovator Summit 2026 at Saint Peter’s Abbey in Ghent.
This year’s summit focuses on an increasingly important question: what are we learning as AI moves from research and experimentation into real-world healthcare?
Throughout the day, speakers from healthcare, academia, industry and policy will share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges encountered when putting AI into practice. The programme looks at AI from multiple angles: from experiences on the clinical frontline and in pharmacy to the patient perspective, trustworthy AI, implementation frameworks and concrete applications that can contribute to more health and better care.
The programme features contributions from Mathias Syx, Stefan Heytens, Hendrik De Rocker, Valerie Storms, Sofia Palmieri and Jeroen Bourgonjon, with opening remarks by Piet Hoebeke and Filip De Turck and closing remarks by Minister Frank Vandenbroucke. The summit will be moderated by Prof. Tom Braekeleirs.
Alongside the keynote sessions, two Deep Dives will showcase real-world experiences from clinicians and healthcare professionals. These sessions will focus on how AI can support prevention and faster diagnosis, as well as treatment and faster recovery.
The summit is open internationally to healthcare professionals, academics, industry and anyone interested in AI for health.
